Apple has just released a 6.1.3 update for the iPhone/iPad/iPadMini. The update fixes several bugs and has performance fixes as claimed by apple. We were expecting this update after a recent loop hole was discovered in iOS which allowed one to bypass the lockscreen. The update also takes care of some other Exchange bug which has now been patched. It also has a Maps updates for the nation of Japan.
The Changes
- Fixed Exchange Bug
- Patched loop hole which allowed one to bypass the lockscreen with a complex combination of finagling.
- New Updated Maps for Japan
- Several Bug fixes and performance improvements
The update is for all devices which had previously got a 6.1.2 update. It looks as if all modern iOS devices (iPad and iPod touch included) are eligible, so feel free to hit up the Settings menu on your device or plug it into iTunes. If you aren’t seeing it right away (as is the case with this particular editor’s iPhone 4S), just keep trying. And trying. And trying.
