Both the Lumia 820 and the flagship 920 include Syanptics technology called Super Sensitive Touch that enables them to detect touch through gloves or fingernails in additional to traditional capacitive input. Nokia is introducing exchangeable covers for the Lumia 820, available in a range of hues, including yellow, cyan, purple, red, grey, white, and black. It'll also sell covers that enable NFC, as well as wireless charging through its new range of charging accessories or any Qi-compatible hardware.
We'd previously heard the phone will be available through AT&T and T-Mobile, but Nokia hasn't detailed the exact availability yet, only stating that the 820 will be available in "select markets" in Q4. Check out hands-on preview for some first impressions of the device.
